LB: 2026 Draft Class

Huge fan of anyone who is a turnover creating machine. I put him in my mock, Jacob Rodriguez is that guy. 4 INTs, 7 FFs this year. Phenomenal production. Another guy is Red Murdock (6 FF). Murdock is one of the nastiest hitters I've seen in this entire class. Not sure if he can cover well, so based on what I've observed from his tape, I'd say late round guy. 6th/7th.

I tabbed Rodriguez as a likely 49ers Gold Helmet caliber player and a bonafide first round talent. Fastest LB at the Senior Bowl on the GPS, most forced turnovers of any linebacker in the country. Just an absolute monster of a football player.

"Jacob Rodriguez racked up the awards in 2025. He won the Chuck Bednarik Award as the nation's top defensive player. He won the Butkus Award as the top linebacker. And finally, he won the Bronko Nagurski Award as the nation's top defensive player. In addition to these accomplishments, Rodriguez also finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting."

How is he in coverage?

93 coverage grade, best in the nation.
Kyle Louis made himself some serious $ this week.

If we do go 34, I think Kelly is worth looking at in the later rounds

With Morris having one of the highest blitz and 5 man pressure rates last year, Anthony Hill, Harold Perkins, Patrick Payton, are good 5th player rushers. Need speed and designated pass rushers
This seems like a strong LB class. Unfortunately in typical 49er fashion, early signs point to them wasting a 3rd-round pick last year, so I wouldn't be surprised if they punt altogether on LB.

I had the same concern, but as long as we focus more on BPA more this year, we should be OK. There's not a single position outside of maybe QB and RB where adding a top talent wouldn't help us next season. It's almost like we can't go wrong 😂 I mean, any top OL? DB, DL, LB, TE/WR? All would make us better.

All our backers after Fred are one dimensional and either get roasted in the pass game or blown up in the run (or can't tackle power backs). I appreciate the effort from Tatum but I'm sorry, I'd trade him if we can, for whatever we can get.

I would be all for Jacob Rodriguez at 27. If available day two, I'm a fan of Anthony Hill. Kid looks really quick, instinctive, and is a balanced player, not one dimensional from what I've seen.

Will he be there when we pick, we pick at the back end of every round.

Rodriguez is one of my favorite players in the draft. He's a can't miss gold helmet prospect IMO. I don't think he goes in the first round but like you; I wouldn't be mad at all if that was the pick (it won't be lol)
I just started watching Sonny Styles after seeing Crock mock him to the 49ers...
