Dominant blocker. Best in the draft. Under-rated receiving ability. Reminds me of 5th round pick Jackson Hawes from the Bills.
Agreed. Solid comparison and Hawes has already had NFL success and likely made Dawson Knox a cut candidate. I'm excited for the combine to see what kind of athlete Boerkircher is as you dont get alot of him hitting speed on film.
I love watch Texas A&M film. Several guys that fit our system. I like how Nate lines up all over the place. No doubt he can block in line, but you see alot of motion, alot of pulling, him lining up at H back. Obviously not a lot of volume in the passing game but he looks fluid and has good hands. You put on the South Carolina game and on the first possession he is lined up out wide, matched up on a potential first round corner in Brandon Cisse, and he surprises him with a well run in breaking route thats good for 20 yards. Its like, OK, I thought this guy was a in line stiff blocker. Later on he's grabbing a TD on a seam route run while lined up in the backfield. There's more versatility here than the stats show. I'm seeing a much better blocking version of Daniel Bellinger.
