Is it just me or are these kids getting faster and stronger each year. We have multiple DE's and LB's in this combine with sub 4.4 40s WR's in the upper 4.2 40s even a TE broke into the 4.3 40's.

Better athletes; better training; better running surface.

But it's mainly the latter 2 than anything else. For example, Terrell Owens ran 4.63 at the 1996 combine. He ran 4.38 at age of 48 years old in 2022. 46 year old Tom Brady beat his combine time. If you watch some of those old combine videos, guys had no clue how to run a 40. Some people didn't even wear speed cleats. A lot of guys just lined up and ran. Imagine a guy like Deion in today's world. He might run sub 4.2.

^ Imagine Bo Jackson! I think he'd be the record holder; that guy was on another level of athlete that I've ever seen.
