Did you have your eyes closed when watching both Seahawks games?

We beat them in Seattle in Week 1 with a healthy roster.

If you take that Seattle roster from week 1, and you take that 49ers roster from week 1 (with a fully healthy Kittle), and you play them in week 18…..we still get blasted. The margin might be a little closer maybe 27-6 or 27-10, but ai have a hard time believing a healthy Bosa and Warner cut that 41 points to 17 or less.

We lost 13-3 in week 18.

I don't think the 49ers were better going to be better than the Seahawks this season, but it's a week to week league and that game was pretty tight on the scoreboard. You might be looking at a completely different picture in the playoffs if you make a couple more plays in that game. That's what great players do: they make plays, and they make players around them better.

I didn't watch the game but I heard there was no Trent Williams?

We were on a short week coming off a physical east coast game vs Philly. They were on two weeks rest. That made a huge difference.

Thats bad analysis. The game was nowhere near a 10 point game. We were destroyed on run d. 3rd and 17, remember? Seattle missed a couple field goals. It wasnt a 10 point game.

Completely disagree

And that isn't how football works we were injured in offense and Defense our offense couldn't do much which gave them more chances against an injured defense
What Eddie D said is one of the things that was so great about him. Coming up short was never acceptable. Of course it happens, but it's unacceptable.

how frustrated would you be if you were owner for 31 years and hadn't won another chip?
Eddie D: "I wouldn't".

I've always loved working for people who have that mindset. Makes work fun and impactful, IMO.
If you look at the NFC I would think that Commanders overtake the Eagles and the Falcons win the South so those would be the two new playoff teams for 2026.
Well at least for next year Vegas has the 49ers ranked as a Top 5 team in the NFC. So it definitely should be another fun, relevant year for us.

I guess you didn't read the post I was responding to? If you had, you might not have missed the point of my response.

The post I responded to suggested that the 49ers would have still got 'blasted' in week 18 with a fully healthy 'week 1' roster. It suggested that the game might have been 27-6 or 27-10 and that Bosa and Warner wouldn't have helped keep the score under 17 points instead of 41.

I pointed out that the poster was mixing up the week 18 game with the divisional round playoff game. It was a 13-3 final result. You want to argue that the game wasn't as close as the final score, which I don't disagree with. It's implied where I said the game was tight on the scoreboard, which it was in reality. I also said I didn't think the 49ers were going to be better than the Seahawks this season.

In any case I do remember the 3rd and 17, and I understand our run D was abysmal. Do you think our run D might look a little better adding an elite DE, a high level run defense prospect at the other DE position, and the best middle linebacker in the game? Probably, right? That was what the conversation was about. Great players not only make plays, but make players around them better as I said in my post. A couple of plays could have flipped the game as it actually played out even with a gutted defense, and a banged up offense.

He almost fired Walsh after the 87 loss to Minnesota in the postseason. Eddie hated losing more than he loved winning. Whereas I believe Jed does not like to lose.
Why is GB so high up on the odds list? Three straight 7th seeds. One playoff win. An average QB and not so good defense. HC who cannot get out of his own way.

Maybe injuries just like us. They lost their best pass rusher Parsons or else maybe would be in the Super Bowl just like us
