Safe to say that Alex Smith has Hall of Fame character and demeanor, but he does not have HoF accomplishments.

That may have been different if he had not been shafted for the first 7 years of his career before getting a good HC (in Jim Harbaugh.)

It still took until he went to KC for him to get with the best OC/HC he ever had (in Andy Reid), but that was way late into his career.

He did well in KC all things considered, especially that last year.

ya he got a raw deal here we really screwed up his development didnt really have a chance its amazing he was able to salvage his career i really think he couldve been a high end QB if we didnt screw things up

Harbaugh saw the truth. Told him to pack his bags before he even spoke to Manning to lure him to SF. Alex was a bust. A really nice guy. But a bust nonetheless…

that's what i mean he was a bust because we screwed up his development the fact he became a great qb with harbaugh and the chiefs (not elite but around top 10 range) after all the crap he went through here including screweing up his shoulder shows a lot. We took away a lot of his potential
The saga continues…
