Remaining FA additions -

Joey Bosa - EDGE - Bills
*Low base ($5M) with incentives (up to $7M). He should only see 40% (20-25/game) of the snaps as a rotational player.

Brian Robinson - RB - 49ers
*Given the soft market for him, I think we bring him back to compete for the #2.

NFL Draft -

49ers trade 1st for NYJ's 2nd, 4th, and 5th (comp). Jets leapfrog the Texans for Ty Simpson - QB - Alabama.

R2: Omar Cooper Jr - WR/OW - Indiana (via NYJ)
*Deebo 2.0. Cooper will predominantly play in the slot and will be mentored by Evans.

R2: Malachi Lawrence - EDGE - UCF
*Our new Bryce Huff, except Lawrence has much greater upside as a full-time EDGE due to his run stopping skills.

49ers trade 4th (via NYJ) and 2027 4th round pick for the Dolphins 3rd round pick (via PHI). Dolphins already have another 3rd after the selection, and they get draft assets for 2027.

R3: Brian Parker - G/C - Duke (via PHI thru MIA)
*Day 1 starter at LG that projects well in a zone scheme. Reminds me of the Puni selection from last year - it just makes too much sense.

R4: Max Llewellyn - EDGE - Iowa
*Good all around EDGE with some pass rush upside. Higher potential than Sam Okuayinonu, who could go back to the PS for the regular season.

R4: Jager Burton - C/G - Kentucky (comp)
*Developmental Center that can also see time at LG. I see Burton as a starter in '27.

R4: Hezekiah Masses - CB - Cal (comp)
*Physical corner that can play press man and zone, Masses adds much needed depth and competition for Green at CB.

R4: Landon Robinson - DT - Navy (comp)
*Developmental 3 tech, Robinson is raw but flashes everything you are looking for as a pass rushing interior defensive tackle.

R5: Dallen Bentley - TE - Utah (comp; via NYJ)
*Reminds me a bit of Kittle's story. Not a focal point in most of his college career, but oozes potential and upside.

Hah was thinking of our tackle on our roster already. Thanks for calling that out.

Appreciate the feedback.

We go younger on the active roster, and keep Toth on the practice squad.

PS candidate. While his missed tackle rate is low, he's flat out awful in coverage. Winters has a bit of an opposite problem, but John and Kyle will value coverage skills given our zone heavy scheme.
I think Toth is going to compete at LG. With Gifford and Wallow getting signed, the the ST slots are already filled for the linebacking crew.

49ers value position versatility. He may compete with LG, but he'll see snaps at C as well. Now that Matt Hennessy isn't part of our roster, we have a depth void at C.
