Trade a 4th for mayer? Good receiver with 2 yrs left at around $2 million per year

Liked him at college. But not shone since. I doubt if they would give him up for a 4th but not sure I would want him for that. The 4th round this year will have some really good players.

I wasn't a fan of the new trilogy. He was at his best in the OG film.

Just doesn't make sense at this point would definitely like him but we have Kittle and signed another TE

SKITTLES in his last leg... the other TE we signed was a bad move...

Not the best advertisement for the player that the Raiders are looking to trade him. He was excellent at college but entirely unimpressive with the Raiders. Maybe offer to throw a 7th at them for him.

Not sure the specifics, but something personally went on with him .

Dude is only 23, Raiders invested considerable draft capital in him with the 35th pick. He ain't sniffing the field with Bowers there. Flip them a 6 or 7. Upside play. Upside is there IMO.

Revisiting this almost a year later. Still thinking Mayer could be good in the 49ers system. Raiders are a bad organization that might trade Mayer and/ or Jackson Powers Johnson. Both are still on rookie contracts and about 10 years younger than what the 49ers have at TE and C

Not being productive with the Raiders is not something I would hold against a player.
I like the idea of getting 1-3rd rounders who just didn't fit or kick on with their drafted team.
Having said that - a 2027 6th rounder is as high as I'd go.

Only chance at Mayer is if they release him.
