For a low-budget franchise, it's unbelievable how well they've drafted and developed some damn good players over the years. As a lifelong Giants fan, wish my team would do the same - position players in particular.

A's on a nice little stretch, winning 7 out of 8 as of today. I think they determined that they weren't going to contend for the playoffs so they made the best of it and traded for assets that may bear fruit for them in the future. Good to see them winning. If you're going to have a losing season it's nice to not lose a hundred or more games. For the embarrassment and especially because your record no longer guarantees you the #1 slot in the draft.

I know you should have higher aspirations, but I am happy that the A's won't lose a hundred games or more again.
It looks like they are building another team, hopefully they keep it together in time to open their new stadium in Las Vegas.

I never thought I would say this, I don't care about the A's anymore. I love 8 miles from where they play. I won't go to the games cause it is so damn expensive and all the team does is complain. Don't drag us, drag your F'ing owner who put you in this position!!!! At this point the sooner they leave Sacramento the better. Good riddance.

After starting off 0-4, the A's have gone 8-3 in their last 11 games since. Including completion of a 3-game sweep against the Mets this afternoon.
They stand at 8-7 at the time of this post. While they transition from Oakland to Las Vegas via Sacramento they are building a team again.
