So we're looking for another late round safety to hopefully fix our back end

We need to just bite the bullet and draft a high safety. I'm tired of all these late draft picks and low level free agents we keep bringing in.

We had a good box safety in Huf that was a later round pick. But due to Aiyuks contract and unfortunate injuries we let walk. I just feel like they are trying to get lucky again like that. I doubt Thieneman makes it to 27 but I'd sprint the pick up if he did. I think EMW would be a redundant albeit an upgrade pick.

Agree with this, Thieneman would be a great pick if there. I'm not sold on EMW nor do I see him as that high end FS type. For me value wise Clark would be a great pick.

EMW can cover though he is pretty good in man coverage and really really good in zone coverage he isnt a single high S like a Clark or Thinensman but in a perfect world i would love to get EMW in round 1 then Taffe in round 4 who can play the single high role and also has great ball skills but is a bit too light to play in the box

That said, VJ Payne is still my favorite value adjusted safety in the class, and while im not sure hes a perfect fit, I want him anyway.

Based on projections of who will be available, consensus player valuations and who the team has brought in for a visit, I actually think it'll be tough for them to disappoint us this year.
Of course, lynch has never been one to shy away from a challenge....
