We need to just bite the bullet and draft a high safety. I'm tired of all these late draft picks and low level free agents we keep bringing in.

We had a good box safety in Huf that was a later round pick. But due to Aiyuks contract and unfortunate injuries we let walk. I just feel like they are trying to get lucky again like that. I doubt Thieneman makes it to 27 but I'd sprint the pick up if he did. I think EMW would be a redundant albeit an upgrade pick.
Moore is an int magnet he reads the QB eyes so well he is limited physically though

Agree with this, Thieneman would be a great pick if there. I'm not sold on EMW nor do I see him as that high end FS type. For me value wise Clark would be a great pick.

EMW can cover though he is pretty good in man coverage and really really good in zone coverage he isnt a single high S like a Clark or Thinensman but in a perfect world i would love to get EMW in round 1 then Taffe in round 4 who can play the single high role and also has great ball skills but is a bit too light to play in the box
If Raheem Morris further deviates from the pete Carroll defensive system and brings some of what he was doing on the back end with the Rams, were gonna need some rangey safeties.

That said, VJ Payne is still my favorite value adjusted safety in the class, and while im not sure hes a perfect fit, I want him anyway.
By this time next week we'll be reading all the complaints about who the 49ers drafted in the first round.

Based on projections of who will be available, consensus player valuations and who the team has brought in for a visit, I actually think it'll be tough for them to disappoint us this year.

Of course, lynch has never been one to shy away from a challenge....

Apparently we had a top 30 visit with Barham and Michael Trigg as well according to Barrows. Also spent a lot of time with Nadame Tucker.
