PFF had him as the #3 pass blocking TE in the league last year(Kittle was actually 41st so take it for what it's worth) and 27th in run blocking.

Clearly signed for his blocking but nobody gives $11 mil guaranteed to a guy who...well isn't guaranteed a roster spot.
