Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has aroused the attention of the club’s fans with his most recent activity off the pitch. There’s a large number of people across the world who feel like the Argentina international star will not be at Barcelona next season, while a lot of others are of the notion that he will extend his stay and play for the Blaugrana for at least two more seasons.

FC Dallas Look Set To Miss Out On 2021 Leagues Cup Participation

The US Major League Soccer side FC Dallas are not expected to be competing in the league’s 2021 cup competition. Because of the huge impact the outbreak of the coronavirus brought upon everyone around the world, the MLS will be looking to bounce back fully from the harsh effects heading into the new season and preparations will start to be put in place in the summer and during the pre-season.

As far as Major League Soccer is concerned, every participating club is still awaiting their fixture schedules ahead of the new season so they can go ahead and speed up their plans before the new campaign kicks off. The country’s national teams are also in the waiting as they are also looking out for the dates of their schedules to aid their preparations for their own upcoming competitions and sporting activities.

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES CLOSING IN ON MIDFIELDER’S SIGNING

Major League Soccer outfit San Jose Earthquakes are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign midfielder Eric Remedi, according to various news outlets. The Quakes are close to getting the deal over the line after spending most parts of the last few days locked in negotiations with the midfielder, his agent, and his club. Reports on Friday made headlines as they indicated that the midfielder is set to quit the Quakes’ league rivals Atlanta United and complete the move.

Although there has been no confirmation of the talks from either team, it is believed that a deal is close and only subject to both clubs reaching an agreement on the transfer fee, and the player also agreeing personal terms. Remedi has been one of Atlanta United’s most important players since joining the club back in 2018 and proved his importance to the team as he helped them clinch the MLS Cup in the year of his arrival. NEW ENGLAND SIGN EX-BARCELONA PLAYER

 

MLS football outfit New England Revolution have made a significant transfer signing following the unveiling of former Barcelona midfielder Wilfrid Kaptoum as their new player. New England Revolution coach Bruce Arena expressed his delight with the signing of Wilfrid Kaptoum who will be playing MLS football for the first time in his career. Kaptoum, 24, has largely spent his football career in Spain and this sojourn into MLS football is a new experience for him but it is one that he has embraced with joy after he shared the good news of his transfer to New England Revolution on social media.


Bruce Arena believes that the addition of Wilfrid Kaptoum to MLS football will bode well for his team. According to the former United States of America national football team manager, Kaptoum will help to strengthen the New England Revolution midfield with his pace and passing ability.
