Not mad at all... Jones and Hobbs easily replaces Lucas and Luter as our back ups. If Green gets beat in camp by one of them, he'd be a solid back up as well. Hopefully they fix the safety position too.

I read an analysis of this guy. When he is put in man coverage, he is not good, but in Zone he is excellent. It said cause he has his eye the QB and can see the field and attack downhill, as opposed to man coverage where you are back to QB.

So either he is going to be in there during when they are in zone coverage or he is going to blitz, but if the is the case you would be tipping your hat.

Another possibility is if he is good in zone, maybe they move him to Safety to the ball hawk and yet use him to also to blitz? We will see how RM uses him.

I like that idea of Jones to safety. He does have good instincts thanks for the food for thought.

I just read another article that claims he is at his best press man. Then again the article said he allowed 10 touchdowns one season because of his aggressiveness which goes back to his press man coverage

His problems have been off field issues and injury(?). Low risk if he pans out. If they work out. Sign them to longer term. Suffice to say, I think the 49ers are not going draft a CB. Still, I would welcome an impact safety.

He goes on a podcast talking s**t about the QB for his new football team. IDK if that was recorded before or after the signing but the truth is, it doesn't even matter.

The s**t he is citing (Cam Newton) is so stupid. Purdy does not dump the ball off, he never has been a checkdown QB. That's actually his problem, he's always hunting the big play and not checking the ball down enough.
