Extremely high risk/reward player. Totally susceptible to double moves but can also have a pick 6 in a game. He's a fast twitch guy that is hyper aggressive and instinctive. I remember him in HS, he was a 5 star recruit.

I'm not sure he's a guy you can play with terrible safeties like the 49ers have but he's more than camp fodder.

He's also been healthy and has started every game for the last 2 years.

I wonder if moving Green to free safety has been a discussion behind the scenes? He has played some safety in college.

He struggles with remembering his assignment & technique at CB, safety is much more difficult from a mental standpoint.

I think he will fit right in with ward, and the rest of our crazy thumpers on D LOL

I like him already, he relating to that East Bay/Oakland vibe similar to the old Tony Montana Squad. I prefer that Bay View "Bailey, who's got it better than us" vibe but its all good. Need some thug life on our D, since our offense look like the back street boys LOL

Who's ward?

Ward Clever from leave it to beaver.

Ward's been a little hard on the Beaver.

I love this guy. He is a playmaker. we sorely need turnovers in the secondary and that's a big part of this guy's game.

Hes given up 15 tds in his career, are those the big plays you're talking about?

Nah, you can go watch the film. He already has four touchdowns from interceptions, including one on the great Patrick Mahomes. Maybe you should do some research before judging so quickly. You do realize he was on the Raiders right? No help on D. That doesn't help much. You do realize he was on the New England Patriots that didn't have much of an offense or defense, right? (Then again I thought that was common knowledge)

The Krueg fella said this could change the 49ers draft plans. Thinks he can start and put Green on another team. Heard it on his podcast.

I like Green and think it would be dumb to trade him away. super talented - he made mistakes last year but all very fixable. Keep coaching him up and we have a very solid CB in Green.

I think Jack Jones is fighting for that 3rd db spot with the dude we got from GB. both of those guys are good for rotating in because of injuries or just scheme.

Agree and dont forget he is cheap.
Like Pearsall he'll get a 3rd year before they decide to go for a 5th year-extension or new contract-trade even. Any movement after just 2 years would be an admission of failure of the front office.

This year will be his 3rd year

Which means he's going to ball out and then we are in a conundrum to pay for a guy who we are unsure of since it was only one season.
Lol good problem to have but his fifth year option will be a fully guaranteed $13-$15M.

Yeah it would be stupid to trade Green. 1st off his value is at the lowest point and so you will not get much in return. And secondly he still has 2 years left on his rookie deal which is a late 2nd RD contract which is pretty cheap. And lastly you would be trading a very talented player with alot of upside. And if you want to add a 4th reason, this draft is pretty weak . Especially anything after the 4th RD which is what you would get for Green at this point.
