Major League Soccer to kick-ff on March 6

The 2015 season of the Major League Soccer will kick-off on March 6 and teams are getting ready for long road that awaits them with certain clubs having to deal with the departure of influential players which is the case of LA Galaxy as the squad now has to find a way to replace Donovan who announced his retirement at the end of the 2014 MLS season.

Even with the departure of Landon Donovan, LA Galaxy are still considered to be one of the top contenders on winning the upcoming season as Steven Gerrard will be arriving on July as reinforcement and the coach Bruce Arena has at his disposal Robbie Keane and GyasiZardes in the attacking department of the squad.

The Seattle Sounders is another challenger as a team that is capable of winning major trophies with the arrival of the English defender Tyrone Mears expected to fill in the gap that was left by DeAndreaYedlin who was signed by Tottenham Hotspur on a 4 year long deal.

New England Revolution is a team that has high expectations on claiming the league title as the squad of Jay Heaps has an attacking partnership which includes the likes of: Jermain Jones, Juan Agudelo, Teal Bunbury and Charlie Davies.

Although there is something that could affect New England Revolution in the near future and it’s regarding how to replace the defender A.J Soares but the head coach Jay Heaps is still expected to be one of the prime candidates on reaching the top spots for the season which initiates in a few months and still has enough time to find a solution for some of the weaknesses of his squad.

Steven Gerrard is one of the high profile stars of the Premier League that is expected to join the MLS in July. The veteran midfielder is just one of the many experienced players which have decided to have a taste of what it feels like playing in the clubs of United States but there also are a few other players which are rumored to be joining the American League which is the case of As.Roma’s Daniele de Rossi and Tim Howard.

If big name players such as these one continue joining the MLS, it’s very good news for the league as they continue to grow and attract more viewers.
