MLS football for this year is gradually coming to an end as teams battle to secure a final berth by winning their Conference. The winner of the Eastern Conference will face the Western Conference winner in the MLS Cup playoffs final. Columbus Crews are the defending champions after they thrashed Seattle Sounders 3-0 in last year’s MLS Cup playoffs final.

The winner of the Eastern Conference clash between Orlando City SC and Nashville SC will face home team Philadelphia Union on Sunday for a place in the Eastern Conference final.

Philadelphia Union and Nashville SC shared one win apiece in their last two meetings during the recently concluded regular season. Nashville saw off Union 1-0 at home in July thanks to the second minute strike from CJ Sapong. Union avenged that defeat when they played hosts to Nashville in October with KacperPrzybylko netting the only goal of the match via a spot kick as the home team recorded a 1-0 victory at the expense of Nashville who were unbeaten at home throughout the regular season on the way to securing third seed in the Eastern Conference.

Philadelphia Union also recorded a win each with Orlando City SC when the two teams met during the regular season. Orlando City SC secured a 2-1 win at home to Union when they met in July and Union were able to return the defeat when the two teams met in Philadelphia two months ago. KacperPrzybylko was the hero for Union as he scored twice in the second half to lead his team to a 3-1 win. Kai Wagner had earlier scored for Union in the first half.
