There were around 60 percent of the voters in the city who chose to let the club bargain so as to form a 73-acre site. Currently, it is a golf course which is owned by the council. The complex will house a public park, shopping mall, stadium, and a hotel. The group owned by Beckham has to obtain the support of 4 of the city’s 5 commissioners. The former England captain thanked the fans that stood by him. It was indeed a great day as Beckham always had a dream to bring in a team to the greatest city.
The MLS team of David Beckham will be known as Inter Miami CF or Club Internacional de Futbol Miami. The crest of the club has also been unveiled and it is pink, white and black. It also features 2 herons along with a sun with 7 rays. It was a proud day for Beckham and his entire team. The former Real Madrid, Manchester United, AC Milan, and Paris St-Germain midfielder added that they are taking an additional step to establish their club. Jorge Mas, the managing owner said that the city and fans are the strength. The MLS franchise of David Beckham is indeed a great initiative and will reap the best results for the entire team and to the city.
